Community

The Center for Information Techonolgy and Management (CITM) also works with its partners to provide support and training to local non-profits, helping them integrate technology into their services. The center provides services such as:

  • Funding scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students at UT Dallas
  • Providing continuing education opportunities for K-12 educators to teach technology and the use of technology in the classroom
  • Offering summer internships to high school students interested in business and technology.
  • Providing free services to metroplex non-profit organizations to help them integrate technology into their organizational processes.
Competitor Analysis

Competitor analysis involves identifying and assessing current and potential competitors and may be market focused, customer focused or product focused. The center provides various levels of competitor analysis, from simply identifying key competitors to complete competitor profiles.

Customer Analysis and Profiling

Because more than 84 countries are represented on campus, the center has the ability to perform customer analysis both domestically and internationally. Analyses include customer identification, customer dynamics and primary, secondary, and tertiary customer tiering.

Market Research

The center performs market research and market analysis for its partners. Research includes market dynamics, market trends, market surveys and market channel analysis. Research may include primary, secondary and tertiary market analysis. Because more than 84 countries are represented on campus, the center has the ability to do both international and domestic market analysis.

Surveys

The CITM conducts numerous online surveys for its partners. The Center provides design and development expertise as well as hosting the surveys and associated databases on the center's servers. Surveys range from simple yes/no, multiple choice surveys to detailed surveys with multiple response questions, including open-ended responses. The center also provides data analysis and report generation capabilities.
