Incubators
Where the Idea Meets the Investor's Eye
Individual ideas find substance in the Center for Information Technology Management incubator. An idea
for a new product, service or technology. enters the incubator,
CITM personnel analyze the idea and plans are drawn up for future
development of the idea.
The incubator generates technology, business, marketing and expansion
plans based on the original idea submitted. After initially analyzing
the plan, CITM personnel determine if the plan is feasible; if so,
the idea is moved to the second stage of the incubation process:
searching and submissions for venture capital.
The CITM has several
venture capital avenues to explore. For instance, The University
of Texas at Dallas has an alliance with Star Tech, a firm devoted
to aiding in the start-up of promising new companies. Interested
venture capital providers analyze your generated business plans
and decide whether the proposed plans meet the fundamental
criteria necessary to recieve start-up capital.
Ideally, after the analysis and approval of venture capital, the
company will be on its way to becoming a thriving firm, generating
immense revenue for all parties involved.*
